A dark figure in Charente-Maritime, France
On April 7, 1979, at around 6:15 a.m., a motorist and his passenger were surprised to see a very intense white fluorescent light in a field; it illuminated the ground within a radius of several meters. The light came from a dark mass with rounded shapes, larger than a car. The observation lasted a few seconds before the light went out completely. This field, located on a ridge, is bordered by a communal road. No traces were found on the ground. No other testimony was collected about this phenomenon, for which we lack information.
