The witnesses, in a service vehicle, quickly observe in the sky a dark mass, fitted with two small lights, glowing faintly. The mass suddenly moves at a dizzying speed and disappears. A field investigation confirmed the witnesses' observation reports, and considered several hypotheses (see the investigation report), but none matches the observations well. In conclusion, this is an unidentified phenomenon (UAP), observed by two highly reliable witnesses, under ideal observation conditions, and which seems to resist all hypotheses, particularly the explanatory hypothesis of the passage of a meteor (fireball). However, the uncertainty about the UAP's trajectory of appearance, its very brief nature, and the interdependence of the two witnesses, who immediately exchanged about their observation, rule out a classification as D2, in the absence of photographs or video. GEIPAN classifies this case as D1, an unexplained case, of high consistency due to the two high-quality testimonies, and of medium strangeness (the materiality of the object is possible but not certain).
