An orange orb in Alpes-Maritimes, France

On July 13, 2010 at 11:27 PM, a witness observes in the sky at about 150 meters, three orange-colored points of light arranged in a triangle and outlining a dark mass. First stationary, the whole then moves slowly in a linear motion and without any noise. No other testimony will be collected on this phenomenon. The characteristics of the observation resemble those of a known and very often observed phenomenon of passing Thai lanterns (festive period of the observation in the month of July, night of July 13 to 14, observation of 3 orange light points, absence of noise, objects moving linearly in the same direction, wind direction roughly compatible with the observation knowing that it is made at the seaside with local winds changing with the terrain). The dark triangular shape between the 3 light points described by the witness is a known 'phenomenon' suggested by the human brain. The observation presents no strangeness. The consistency of the case is weak due to the single testimony (despite the large population that must have been outside at that time) and the little information contained in the police hearing report. The plausible hypothesis of the observation of the passage of Thai lanterns is retained and this case of low strangeness level is classified as B as very probably explained.
