On January 1, 2012 at 1:35 a.m., two witnesses in a car observe in the sky the east-west, silent movement of a craft they do not identify. The witnesses do not agree on the shape but note a yellow-orange glow enveloping the object. The witnesses lose sight of the object as it is hidden by the forest. The description and the movement according to the wind (see weather report) are consistent with the appearance of a Thai lantern.
