An orange orb in Pyr�n�es-Atlantiques, France
On July 4, 2015, around 11 p.m., a witness is intrigued by the movements of a round, red-orange, luminous shape in the night sky. No sound is heard during the observation. The object disappears suddenly. Only one testimony is collected.
The observation, at night, of an orange ball or light with movement in the sky over a few minutes, then sudden disappearance, can be explained by a Thai lantern. The change in trajectory over the observation period is consistent with wind of fluctuating direction, as recorded at nearby weather stations that day (see attached document). The likelihood of a Thai lantern is reinforced by the presence of a celebration that evening in the village, as mentioned by the witness.
