An orange orb in Pyrnes-Orientales, France

On February 2, 2015 at one in the morning, a witness in the courtyard of his home observes for 3 minutes a red-orange ball in the sky: the witness thinks he sees an airplane. At 1:40 a.m. the witness observes, above the roofs of neighboring buildings, a black craft flying very low and with all lights off, of very large size: the witness describes the front of the craft as having a rounded triangular shape with rectangular portholes. The craft advancing slowly toward the witness, the latter notices, under the base of the craft, a large red-orange ball resembling a position light. The craft, moving very slowly, then hovers, then emits a thick fog and disappears from the witness's view by moving backward. No noise is heard. At around 1:55 a.m., the witness observes for 1 or 2 minutes a large, very bright white star that suddenly departs at very high speed and disappears from his view. The witness thinks it is the craft seen previously. Only one testimony was collected with a photograph of the observation site. Since this observation, the witness observes UAPs in the sky of Perpignan both day and night. These sky observations present unusual peculiarities, especially because the witness sees the phenomenon repeat itself. Because of this, GEIPAN asked a local investigator to come and interview the witness. On September 30 in the evening, despite the very overcast weather during the visit, the witness indicated to the investigator that he saw luminous phenomena passing in the sky, which the investigator did not see at all. In 25 minutes the witness commented on the passage of 31 UFOs in the form of white dots that pass, hide, and stop. The witness said that the other people to whom he had tried to show the phenomena did not see them either. The witness reports that synthetic lenses were grafted onto him shortly after his February observation (he wore glasses at that time but was almost blind). It is since his operation that he sees "armadas," "myriads" of UFOs every night above Perpignan. This observation case is obviously the consequence of ophthalmological problems even after his operation, both for the February observation, before the operation, and for the recurrent observations after the operation. The witness seems excessively focused on UFOs to the point of excluding that his observations are the result of a vision problem. GEIPAN classifies this case B: the witness's vision very likely impaired.
