An account in Tarn, France

On July 18, 2010, starting at 5 p.m., a witness made several successive observations of the movement in the sky over Albi of about ten objects of circular shape and opaque white color. No particular noise was heard, and no trail or halo was visible. The distance to the phenomenon was estimated at about 1,500 meters at minimum. The observation lasted about 40 minutes. Two children also witnessed this phenomenon. The characteristics of the observation resemble those of a known and often observed phenomenon of the movement of festive balloons (daytime observation, festive period of the observation in July, long observation time of 45 minutes, successive observations of the same phenomena over several periods, opaque white spherical objects, absence of noise, objects moving linearly in the same direction, wind direction northwest-southeast roughly compatible with the observation, objects the size of a 'pinhead'). The observation presents no strangeness. The consistency of the case is weak due to the single testimony (despite the large population that must have been outside at that time). The plausible hypothesis of observing festive balloons (toy balloons) is retained, and this case, with a low level of strangeness, is classified as B, very probably explained.
