Very low hum which sounds like a large boat engine idling Yes, I do not just hear the hum. The sound is accompanied by a physical sensation very similar to a mild electric shock which I mainly feel in my legs. As the hum gets louder so this physical sensation increases. This is why I know it is not a hearing problem.
