Very low frequency humming I contacted the local Council but their only response was to offer to deploy noise nuisance recording equipment (designed to address noisy neighbours), which I didn't feel would be sensitive enough to pick up the sound. I felt they didn't take my request for investigation seriously and I have not contacted them about it since.
