A low hum that sounds as of it may be some deep vibration that is causing it, I cannot feel it but only hear it. I mainly hear it in the winter months, it's been over ten years since I began to hear it and am the only one in my home that can hear it. I just would like the sound explained, and is there any way to stop hearing it? I keep a TV on my bedroom at night so the sound doesnt seem so intrusive. I can hear it over the TV...it drives me crazy!

It is a deep, low pitched, bassy sound between a hum and a rumble. There seems to be a slow, steady pulse to it. It reminds me of an engine idling off in the distance. I would swear it's com…
