An orange orb in Eure, France

On February 16, 1980, between 1:00 a.m. and 1:30 a.m., three military personnel on duty report having observed an unidentified flying object. This object was flying above the village. According to the witnesses, who differ on the object's shape, it projected an intense orange light. It remained motionless for one minute before rising rapidly and moving in stages. The intensity of the light gradually decreased until it became just a point. No other information was gathered from civilians in the area. Since no radar watch was carried out during the weekend, confirmation of the presence of an aircraft could not be made. This case is classified as C due to lack of data.
