Red lights in Lot-et-Garonne, France
On March 3, 2009, at around 8:30 PM, four people in a car on a country road were intrigued by the slow movement of three blinking, colored lights in the sky outlining a triangular object. The object at low altitude disappeared behind a hill; no particular noise was heard during the observation. Only one testimony was reported.
Due to its linear movement, and its appearance partly similar to an airplane (blinking lights and a red light), the phenomenon is considered not very strange. It is possible that the triangle shape mentioned by the witness is only the minimal shape that encloses the 3 luminous points. Since the testimony arrived more than a month after the facts, the radar track archives of civil or military aviation are no longer accessible.
The imprecision of the testimony regarding the orientation of the trajectory and the size of the phenomenon relative to known landmarks does not allow a conclusion as to its exact nature.
