On May 10, 1981, witnesses saw an unusual luminous phenomenon around 8:30 p.m. A red ball high in the sky seemed to descend slowly and land. Suddenly an intense light burst from a triangle, illuminating the whole area, then white smoke was seen near the ground by the witnesses. This phenomenon repeated four times in a row at roughly 10-minute intervals.
