On October 28, 1978, at around 7:10 PM, several witnesses observed the rapid passage from East to West of a luminous phenomenon in the sky. The witnesses describe a fireball with a luminous trail on a horizontal trajectory. No noise was heard during the observation. The phenomenon suddenly went out. Given the descriptions, these people were probably witnesses to an atmospheric reentry.
