An orange orb in Ain, France
On June 20, 2015 at around 11 p.m., a female driver saw three orange-red glowing points moving silently from north to south. At the same time, a bright green light moved from east to west.
This testimony describes two distinct phenomena:
- Three orange-red glowing points moving slowly from north to south over several minutes.
- A very bright green light moving very quickly toward the west.
The witness naturally links the two phenomena, which in fact turn out to be coincidental. Indeed, the first phenomena have all the characteristics of Thai lanterns, frequently observed on summer Saturday evenings, launched after weddings or other celebrations. Their movement toward the south is consistent with the north wind recorded at Lyon-St Exupery (see the weather report).
The green phenomenon has all the characteristics of a fireball.
