both described an orange orb
Indre, France · 2014-07-12 · from the GEIPAN archive
The witness is on their bed, turns their head toward the window and sees a large glowing red-orange ball pass by, connected to a second, smaller one. The trajectory is slow, silent, and very close (above the roof). The witness observes 2 red-orange glowing balls that they estimate are coming from the direction of Sainte Sévère sur Indre toward Thevet St Julien, that is, from southeast to northeast. The objects were therefore following a trajectory from south to north. The Châteauroux weather report indicates a south wind at 1 a.m., weak and variable toward the southwest or west (weather). The observed object could have been carried by the wind. Releases of Thai lanterns are frequent in summer on weekends, especially around July 14. The observation report made by the witness is consistent with this hypothesis. GEIPAN classifies this case "B" probable observation of Thai lanterns. The witness also refers to a similar observation, but with several balls: it was probably the same origin.
