both described an orange orb
Vienne, France · 1977-11-19 · from the GEIPAN archive
On November 19, 1977 at around 1:05 a.m., a motorist and his passenger saw a red-orange ball that moved and came closer. The driver stopped, and the phenomenon remained motionless in a meadow, 1 meter 50 above the ground and about thirty meters from the car. No noise was heard. The frightened driver decided to continue on his way and change his route, but he encountered the phenomenon several more times during his trip. The phenomenon was seen for a quarter of an hour and over nine kilometers by the motorists before disappearing. No trace or clue was found at the various locations where the phenomenon was observed. No particular phenomenon was noted by the director of the Floirac observatory. No military maneuver was carried out that night. No intervention of any kind was made on the high-voltage line and the transformers located near the roads taken by the driver. Nevertheless, it is probable that the observed manifestation could be attributed to an electrical phenomenon, given that it was seen always progressing near equipment that conducts and transforms electricity.
