Pilot witness in C�tes-d'Armor, France
On January 31, 2015, at around 5:45 p.m., two children in two different rooms of their house observe through the window the same unknown phenomenon: a gray, oval object with colored lights moves at low altitude and close to the house. Each reports their observation to their mother a few seconds apart. A questionnaire is filled out for both witnesses by their father. Then each child separately reproduces their observation with a drawing. No other testimony is collected. An investigation is conducted on site (see the document "investigation notes").
As things currently stand, the observation seems to match a drone seen edge-on (oval and flat shape), equipped with multicolored LEDs, with a probable error by the witnesses in judging the distance and size of the object.
The testimonies are very brief but considered reliable, and relatively independent because, although brother and sister, the witnesses were in separate rooms during the observation. The observation is fairly unremarkable.
Following the testimony of the drone pilot (named H1) met during the neighborhood inquiry of April 25, 2015, it is proposed to classify the PAN case B as a very probable observation of a drone lit by LEDs, with a poor estimation by the witnesses of the distance and dimensions of the object.
