On September 16, 2012 at 8:24 PM, a witness on their balcony had their attention drawn by the silent movement of a white luminous point. The trajectory is east-west and the phenomenon disappears behind the Jura mountains. No noise was heard during the 4-second observation. No other testimony was collected on this phenomenon.
Of average strangeness and good consistency (single witness, but with a very precise testimony), this case turns out to be a possible misidentification with a natural atmospheric re-entry (fireball, also called a meteor).
