An orange orb in Seine-Maritime, France

On February 13, 2008 at around 1:25 a.m., a witness waking up in the middle of the night observes from his home a large orange ball moving at very high speed in the sky. The observation lasts a few seconds and the UAP disappears immediately. Only one testimony is collected. With low strangeness and low consistency (single witness, very short observation duration), this case turns out to be a very probable misidentification with a natural fireball. The absence of independent testimonies or capture by an all-sky camera type device does not, however, allow formally validating this hypothesis. This case is classified B, probable misidentification with a natural atmospheric reentry (fireball).
