On March 19, 2013 at 8:30 PM, a resident of NICE (06) observed from his home the passage of three luminous points following each other in single file in the sky. The observation lasted about 10 seconds, before the UAP disappeared from the witness's view, hidden by a tree. Of medium strangeness and consistency (single fairly complete testimony, but with low coherence regarding the weather), this case lacks external data to be formally identified. The UAP indeed presents characteristics common to several types of hypotheses. While a misidentification with a satellite formation or an airplane can be ruled out a priori, the observation can nevertheless be explained by the presence of a fragmented meteor or an object carried by the wind. The short duration of the observation does not, however, allow either of these two hypotheses to be ruled out. It is not the witness's visual perception that is in question, but the interpretation the witness makes of his observation through his feelings (astonishment, short-duration observation). This case is classified as C, due to lack of information.
