An orange orb in Calvados, France

On Sunday, May 4, 2008, between 10:45 PM and 10:50 PM, two people observe from their terrace, for fifteen seconds, the movement of three yellow-orange light sources. No sound is heard. These lights move slowly from West to North before suddenly disappearing. This observation follows many others during the same period and in the greater West. A good number of these observations are explained by the release of Thai lanterns. The description given by the witnesses, the behavior of the bright points, their yellow-orange color, and the day of the observation (a Sunday evening) suggest that we are also dealing with a flight of 3 Thai lanterns, probably released during a family celebration.
