An orange orb in Is�re, France

On October 24, 2012 at 7:50 PM, a female driver's attention was drawn by the rapid passage of a luminous phenomenon in the sky. The witness describes a bright white light that, on a descending trajectory, disappears after a few seconds. The witness then discerns a shape, then the light gradually reappears on an ascending trajectory before definitively disappearing behind the hill. No noise was heard. Only one testimony was collected. First, and to try to answer one of the questions asked by the witness ("I would like to know if other people have reported this phenomenon to you"), we searched for similar reports at the date and time of the observation in the Grenoble region. Unfortunately, without success. Given the objective elements collected in the attached investigation report, namely that the physical and dynamic characteristics of the UAP fit poorly with those of an airplane, a helicopter, a drone, or a fireball, but that a reflection in the windshield could have produced the same scene, we cannot conclude on the nature of the observed UAP, for lack of cross-checks, other testimonies, or photographs. This testimony is of medium consistency: precise, but brief (observation of 10 to 15 seconds), coming from a single witness driving in a car, and without photos. The observation is moderately strange because it involves an object with unusual behavior and appearance, but it could be explained by conventional phenomena. This case is classified as "C" due to lack of information.
