A pervasive, pulsating, low-frequency humming/vibration that sounds and feels like it's coming from the walls of my townhome and drives me crazy. None of my neighbors can hear or feel it, and they think I'm crazy. I can even hear it in my basement. I have been experiencing phantosmia sporadically for the last 12 years -- I smell smoke that isn't there. It can go on for months, and then disappear for months, but it always reappears again, and for no apparent reason. And when I'm listening to music and close my eyes, I can see the music in color and in three dimensions -- it looks like real-time calculus. I also live very close to the National Renewable Energy Lab, though I don't know exactly what they do behind those locked gates.
