A low hum in Parigoria, Chania
Low frequency distant vibration, resembling plane engine or purring of a cat. The sound (a humming vibration) is not constant, it comes and goes. It is not a linear/constant sound, it is slightly pulsating. Each vibration lasts for about 3 seconds, then stops for 1 second and then reappears. Sounds very much like a distant plane engine but continues on for hours without stopping.
