A low hum in Saint Leonard, Maryland

It is a very low, alternating two-tone droning, never stops, seems louder at night. I bought a white noise machine to mask it at night, but the sound vibrates underneath all the nature sounds. The TV or the white noise machine needs to be blasting to overpower the low, pulsing drone. Most people that I've asked cannot hear it. Some are able to hear it at night now, but are easily able to ignore it, unlike myself. Please find out the source and tell me how to shut it down. I REALLY HATE IT!!!
