A low hum in Charente-Maritime, France
On March 22, 1979 at around 9:25 PM, a motorist and his passenger saw a dazzling light. For 2 to 3 minutes these witnesses were able to observe at a distance of 100 meters an object shaped like an "orange slice" with a flashing light on the left side as well as a row of spots of different colors. This object then moved quickly toward the southwest. A distant humming noise was heard. Photos were taken by one of the witnesses but were never brought to the gendarmerie.
