A triangle shape in Val-de-Marne, France
On December 7, 2015 at 10:45 PM, a witness observed three bright points high in the sky forming a triangle. The points (white or red) seemed connected to each other. Only one testimony was collected.
The observation of bright points crossing the sky in a few minutes clearly suggests sky lanterns, probably released nearby at the end of a private party.
The movement was observed from south-southwest to north-northeast, which is consistent with the southerly wind recorded at Orly (7 km): Météociel.
Because of their low intrinsic brightness, sky lanterns are most often perceived as farther away than they really are, and therefore faster.
