Pilot witness in Puy-de-D�me, France
On April 3, 2015 at 4:15 PM, a female driver and her two passengers were intrigued by the slow, silent, low-altitude flight of an aircraft they did not recognize.
GEIPAN consulted military air traffic control regarding this sighting; it turns out that indeed, that day, at 4 PM, a military aircraft was flying at very low altitude (at 2,100 feet, or about 700 meters) above Lapeyrouse, on a north/northwest heading.
Despite the discrepancies between the witnesses' statement and the information provided by air traffic control, regarding the time of the event (15 minutes) and the altitude estimate, the exceptional presence of this aircraft perfectly explains the witnesses' observation.
