A witness reports two observations, one of which was made on June 26, 2010, around midnight. On that date, he observes above his home the straight-line passage of a strong white light that arrives from the northwest and quickly disappears toward the southeast. As it passes over the witness, he notes the presence of three white lights, two at the front and one at the rear, defining a triangular shape. No noise is heard during the observation. Another testimony about this phenomenon will be collected. This observation has some characteristic elements of low-altitude aircraft, but certain elements do not match (e.g., silence, lighting). GEIPAN searched with civil aviation and the Air Force for radar traces of aircraft in flight (see radar trace document): only high-altitude flights are reported. It should be noted that radars do not cover low-altitude flights and that this sector is known to the Air Force because it is one of their low-altitude exercise zones. Given this lack of precise information, GEIPAN classifies this case "C".
