On March 7, 2015 at 12:05 AM, a witness observed in the sky, while driving a car, a group of 9 red lights above a nearby hill. The lights seemed to move silently and quickly in formation. The witness stopped to take photos, then, once home, continued observing with his family until the phenomenon disappeared. The hypothesis of Thai lanterns is fully consistent with the observation: these objects are inherently low-luminosity (equivalent to a small garden torch) and therefore often perceived as farther away than they really are, thus bigger and faster than they really are; the wind, although weak, was far from zero. It is common to feel nothing on the ground. Friday evening parties are of course less frequent than Saturday ones, but nevertheless frequent (often professional or association parties for example, and it is also the carnival season).
