Red lights in Val-de-Marne, France
On May 21, 2012 (the exact date was validated during the investigation) at 10:12 PM, a motorist notices, in the overcast sky, the north-south passage of a luminous phenomenon that intrigues him. While stopped at a red light, he notices a cylindrical shape "resembling an icon whose point is toward the ground." Getting out of his vehicle, he observes that the object is stationary and that a powerful light comes out of small portholes. Around the object, a luminous orange sphere is noticed. The object then takes an upward trajectory and changes shape (inverted V) and color (white) and disappears into the cloud layer. The observation lasted 15 seconds in total. Only one testimony was collected.
Given the objective elements defined in the investigation report, namely:
- Object of unusual shape and fitted with luminous "portholes."
- Hovering above the road facing the witness.
- Departure after a few seconds while changing shape.
