On May 21, 2012 (the exact date was validated during the investigation) at 10:12 PM, a motorist notices, in the overcast sky, the north-south passage of a luminous phenomenon that intrigues him. While stopped at a red light, he notices a cylindrical shape "resembling an icon whose point is toward the ground." Getting out of his vehicle, he observes that the object is stationary and that a powerful light comes out of small portholes. Around the object, a luminous orange sphere is noticed. The object then takes an upward trajectory and changes shape (inverted V) and color (white) and disappears into the cloud layer. The observation lasted 15 seconds in total. Only one testimony was collected. Given the objective elements defined in the investigation report, namely: - Object of unusual shape and fitted with luminous "portholes." - Hovering above the road facing the witness. - Departure after a few seconds while changing shape. We can conclude that the UAP observed by the witness is inexplicable and presents numerous characteristics hardly compatible with the only plausible hypothesis considered, that of a festive balloon. This case is to be classified as "D1" as an observation of an object of unknown nature. This testimony is of good consistency: very precise, but coming from a single witness and without photos. One can be surprised that in the middle of the city, no one else noticed the phenomenon. The observation is strange because it involves an object whose physical and dynamic characteristics are uncommon and do not strictly conform to any known flying object.
