A low hum or rumbling like a lorry engine idling some way off . This sound has nothing to do with any bodily condition. It is a vibration or pressure wave being transmitted through the air. If l put a glass against a window when the vibration is very loud i can hear the glass rattling. I contacted the council about it but they weremt prepared to investigate. Othe people locally can hear it. I think that it is ships generators being amplified via the soundbox of the ships hull and then through the water and air. More obvious at night because it is quietest then.
