Low frequency, rumbling hum, almost sounds like the noise of a large distant war plane I first noticed this sound when I was about half way through pregnancy with my first (and only) child. It used to keep me awake and drive me crazy and its never gone away since. Not sure if thats relevant but it was the first time I knew I was definitely hearing it (always complaining I could constantly hear something like planes) and my husband wasnt aware of any hum or rumbling sound.
