Low pitch hum. Like an engine running down the street. Or a pump on a boiler. I live in a quiet area. I can't hear it outside. Only in the house. Louder when the windows are closed. I turned the main power breaker off but still the hum. I put my ear to the water pipes but they are quiet. It seems loudest in the center of the room. I hear it sometimes but very noticeable tonight. I can't sleep
