Like an idle engine ir a turbin at very low frequency and almost perceptible as a vibration too. I can barely hear it outside and it is at its worst inside the house when all windows are closed. Even opening a small gap on a window makes it less audible. I wonder if it is a vibration from the cooling system of the nuclear station in Dungeness making low frequency sounds that travel better via solids, hence when the house is a continuous solid with doors and windows closed, it transmit the sound better. I cannot explain why it has oy started a few months ago
