It is a low-frequency humming noise that has no explanation or source. I hear it mostly at night and inside my home. The noise is similar to a train or a diesel truck engine idling and the noise is continuous...almost vibration-like. I have turned off all electrical, gas, water and other sources to my home that might be creating the noise/sound/hum and it still persists....
