A triangle shape in Somme, France

On Tuesday, October 22, 2013 at around 7:50 p.m., a motorist is intrigued by an object in the sky. The witness describes an object of triangular shape, made up of three luminous points, red, green and blue. The object is stationary, then moves slowly and silently. The lights turn white and it disappears. Only one testimony is collected. Given the objective elements collected in the attached investigation report, namely the very likely presence of a scheduled flight at the time and azimuth considered, the delimitation of the triangular shape by lights identical to the navigation lights of the aircraft in question, the movement of the UAP identical to that of the flight considered, in the witness's line of sight, and the disappearance of the UAP behind clouds, temporarily, then permanently, in the same way that an aircraft flying at high altitude is masked by patchy cloud layers, we can conclude that the case concerns the probable observation of an airliner observed under particular conditions. This case is to be classified as "B" as the probable observation of an airliner on the regular Venice/London route, lit by its navigation lights, and temporarily masked by cloud layers. It is the uncertainty about the precise schedule of the aircraft, and the doubt about the colors of the lights reported by the witness, that prevent classifying this case as A.
