A witness on June 9, 2013 at around 12:45 a.m. observes the presence and then the N-S movement of a very bright object of a reddish-orange color. The object disappears behind a hill. No particular noise is heard during the 4 to 5 minute observation. This observation of a strong reddish-orange light in the evening of the weekend, moving slowly in the sky, likely corresponds to a Thai lantern released from Saint-Jean-de-Verges at the end of a celebration. The weather data from Saint-Girons (see weather document) indicate a light, very unstable wind during the night: but the wind at Crampagna cannot be determined precisely, especially because this is a small mountain area.
