Red lights in Nord, France
On Sunday, February 17, 2013, around 7 p.m., two witnesses observed from their vehicle aligned red lights that seemed to be stationary in the sky.
The description given by the witnesses is compatible with the observation of Thai lanterns: several red lights in the sky, apparently at low altitude, on a weekend evening. As the wind was blowing lightly from the East (see Meteociel data), these lanterns could have been released from Curgies, probably at the end of a celebration. As the wind was light and from the East, the witnesses, who in reality saw them drifting slightly away, could not clearly perceive their movement.
