Red lights in Aisne, France
On July 20, 2013 at midnight, a witness and his wife noticed that the street lamp was off. They then observed the silent passage of a craft with 5 lights underneath, colored red-orange and white, rotating clockwise. Its trajectory was southwest-northeast at low altitude, at a regular and slow speed. The street lamp turned back on when the craft moved away. The observation lasted 10 minutes. Only one testimony was collected.
The set of lights described by the witness and the movement suggests an airplane on approach for landing, often quiet. Airplanes have multiple flashing lights (red anticollision lights, flashing white strobes, steady white, green, and red lights). But there is no major airfield nearby.
