Red lights in Bouches-du-Rh�ne, France
On October 28, 2012, at around 10 a.m., a witness observes a luminous phenomenon in the clear sky. From her balcony, facing West, the witness follows with her eyes the slow movement of a bright cylindrical-shaped phenomenon, silver in color, with a small red halo on the left. The witness goes back inside the apartment to get her camera, but when she returns after 15 seconds, everything has disappeared. No noise, no smoke were noticed. Only one testimony is collected.
The continuous red light (red halo) to the left of the "cigar" and the sun behind the witness is consistent with an aircraft lit by the sun. According to the witness's drawing, the viewing angle of a fuselage (edge-on) could explain the apparent absence of wings. The duration of the observation (3 minutes) seems exaggerated. The witness's field of view (a section of about 35 degrees) seems limited for such a long duration.
