Pilot witness in Val-d'Oise, France
On November 20, 2011 at 3:20 PM, a witness observed in a clear sky the rapid movement of a spherical white object that seemed to "bear down on a passenger airliner." The witness watched the object until it disappeared at the horizon 2 to 3 minutes later. No other testimony was reported. The radar traces requested from air traffic control mention, among other things, only the passenger airliners reported by the witness. We checked whether the witness could have observed a high-intensity Iridium satellite flash, which is sometimes visible in daylight. But no phenomenon of this type occurred that afternoon of November 20, 2011 at Ourouer-les-Bourdelins. No other hypothesis usually a source of misidentification appears to us to match the observation. Of low strangeness and low consistency due to the lack of information about the trajectory followed by the UAP, this observation case cannot be concluded otherwise than as "C" for lack of independent testimonies and cross-checks.
