Pilot witness in Seine-Saint-Denis, France

On April 4, 2009 at 11:00 a.m., two pedestrians observe in a cloudy sky an imposing gray object, oval in shape, oscillating on its axis. The observation lasts 5 minutes, then the witnesses see the object move without hearing the slightest noise: no trail is noticed. The object will gradually disappear due east. On April 10, GEIPAN receives an email from a journalist who has in his possession an anonymous photo of a UAP taken, according to him, on April 4 around 12:00 p.m. at Roissy, and which he is trying to decipher. Analysis of the photograph will show that the photo indeed dates from April 4, 2009 and that it was taken at 9:22 a.m. However, another investigation will establish that the photo was not taken from Roissy but from the vicinity of taxiways W2, F3, or V2 at Le Bourget. Indeed, an enlargement of the photograph reveals the logo of a company that has a hangar at Le Bourget. Finally, the gendarmerie investigation will establish that on April 4, 2009 at 11:00 a.m., the Le Bourget airport control tower reported the presence of an inflatable balloon shaped like a flying saucer north of the field, outside the airport zone. The device, neutralized and taken in charge by the territorial national police, turns out to be a balloon 20 meters in diameter intended for entertainment during a sporting event at the Stade de France.
