On June 12, 2010 between 2:00 PM and 2:30 PM, several people gathered around a barbecue noticed in the sky the presence at high altitude of a black object of triangular shape. The object seemed motionless then took an upward trajectory before disappearing behind a cloud. There was a N/NW wind that day. The witness was observing in the N/NW direction, that is, facing the wind: a balloon in its ascent phase following the wind therefore appears to move little to the observer. The triangular shape of the object suggests a tetrahedral balloon, black because seen against the light with the sun at its zenith. This balloon could be a weather balloon launched from Blagnac or from Meteo-France, or also a toy balloon released from the city center (many end-of-year celebrations that day in Toulouse).
