On March 31, 2010 at 6:20 PM, a person observes from their balcony an object of dark color with no definable shape moving in the sky. The witness has time to take photographs and calls their spouse. Only one testimony will be collected. This case of observation of a distant object (estimated at 2 to 3 km), with erratic movement (see reconstruction from photos), presents a medium degree of strangeness. Because of the photographs, the consistency of this case is good. The photographed object could correspond to many possibilities of bodies moving in the air between the witness and the nuclear power plant: most likely a large bird, as the witness's wife initially perceived it (see report), tethered balloon, kite, radio-controlled model... A tethered balloon could have such behavior, due to the wind, which was sustained that day (about 25 km/h), however the disappearance of the object into the clouds does not match, unless the clouds hid it. One could also think of a helicopter, due to the heavy traffic in this area (see report) but the photographed shape matches poorly. The dynamic behavior of the object presents no character of strangeness: it could correspond to a bird or a kite as the witnesses initially thought, or a tethered balloon or a helicopter. Verification of these multiple hypotheses is no longer possible. This case, consistent but not very strange, is classified "C" due to lack of additional information and cross-checks.
