Pilot witness in Yvelines, France

On January 7, 2000 at around 7:20 PM, the pilot of an airplane bound for Casablanca observed, at a short distance below his aircraft, two balloons, one blue and one white, carrying a load resembling a radar reflector. Following a complaint, Météo-France indicated that these were not weather radiosondes. The investigation with the military yielded no new information. While the nature of the objects (balloons) did not seem to be in doubt, the origin of these balloons could not be determined.
