On March 12, 2015 at 7:45 PM, a witness observes two lights, first stationary, then the first one takes a direction and disappears behind the buildings, soon followed by the second one, which follows exactly the same trajectory. The witness observes from Courbevoie, at 85° to the right of the Total tower at La Défense (see map), which gives a northwest direction. A check of civil air traffic (see Flightradar data) shows that at that precise moment, flights AFR1159 and AF1281, descending toward Roissy, were in the witnesses' line of sight, and these flights then turned slightly to the north. The video taken by the witness is fully consistent with this explanation.
