A witness reports several successive observations of luminous phenomena seen in the sky. He makes a video of the phenomena. Only one testimony is collected. This observation is fairly complex, because it includes two types of phenomena: - a fixed phenomenon, which is clearly visible on the video due West (see star chart): it is the planet Venus, very visible at the 30th second in the sky (Jupiter is somewhat visible, slightly to the right, at the same height in the sky. Their setting occurred at 11:45 PM that day). - several other phenomena that are mobile, move slowly and irregularly from West to South (see map). They have the appearance of yellow lights, or yellow-orange "It looks like a big airplane landing light facing you coming from the horizon." The observed splitting may correspond to two airplanes whose trajectories merge then separate. The variation in the lights comes from the variation in the airplane's heading: the landing light appears all the more powerful the more the observer is in line with the airplane. This hypothesis seems entirely plausible: airplanes approaching an airfield do indeed have this appearance: at great distance (>15 km), the blinking lights are far less visible than the landing lights. But GEIPAN did not receive this testimony quickly enough to be able to compare this observation with air traffic. This hypothesis cannot be strictly confirmed. This case includes the observation of Venus and Jupiter for the fixed lights, but is classified C for the mobile lights, which seem to be airplanes seen head-on.
