Red lights in Grand Est, France
On August 10, 1998, around midnight, a very large number of witnesses, including a train driver, observed in the sky a triangular shape with two red lights and one very bright white light. One witness stated, based on press articles, that the observed phenomenon was an ultralight aircraft that also passed near his home in the same time slot. The passage of a Transall at low altitude in line with the two observation sites was also reported.
